he website plays a significantly important role in any business these days. When the targeted audience checks a website, it provides them with the first impression of a company. Therefore, it is crucial to get your website right; as a judgement of a business can be formed within seconds. For example, 38% of visitors will stop engaging with a website if the content or layout is unattractive (Blue Corona). Hence, in these first few seconds, a business should try to make a positive influence on the audience and want them to continue the relationship. However, this is easier said than done – so how can we go about achieving this?


This course will explore some different principles that are used within website design and how these affect a websites development; and provide you with the understanding of how to apply these learnings to your own website and what optimisation you can make to keep up with website best practices.
