Tell us a bit about your career journey
At the moment I am currently the Creative Brand Director at The Hair Movement, so I work alongside our marketing team, I do a lot of our social media, creating the content, posting things and working alongside all of the them with all of the products and the brand.
What I have come to realise doing the apprenticeship we are doing at the moment is that it’s actually great because I get to carry on doing my job that I love and I do full time, but I’m able to learn and do something new and get a completely different qualification, while I’m still in employment and being supported by my employer. It’s amazing.
How have you found your apprenticeship journey so far?
So my apprenticeship journey so far, has been really full-on but it has been really exciting. It’s been amazing to be able to learn something completely new and completely different to what I do day to day. But the amount of support that we have, everything as you’ll see is online at the moment, it’s actually wonderful because it is so easy to contact someone anytime you need to contact them. There’s just so much content out there, but being able to work through it in my own time has been really good.
What has been your favourite part of your apprenticeship journey so far?
So for me, I think my favourite part about the apprenticeship so far is learning. For me, my day to day job is very hands on, it’s very people orientated, it’s really creative. But I am actually really enjoying just sitting down and studying and just delving into all this infomation that is at my fingertips and really getting to grips and really knowing something new.
How did you feel starting your apprenticeship?
Going into it I was really scared, because I thought ‘how am I going to be able to do and work towards a qualification while working full-time’ and it’s actually incredibly easy, it’s incredibly manageable. It’s definitely, definitely worth it.”
